Mrs. Lacee M. Whimpey: Attorney with SMITH LC

Biography

Lacee developed a passion for justice at a young age after she got her first job at a law firm in high school. She fostered this passion working as a paralegal through college and went on to study and graduate from the SJ Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. During law school, Lacee served as the Executive Articles Editor on the Journal of Law and Family Studies.

Lacee represents clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, separation, custody, post-decree enforcement and modifications, child support, paternity, adoption, and guardianship. She brings a unique perspective to her cases as a mother and a child of a mixed family. She advocates for her client’s rights, while also promoting a healthy environment for the children moving forward.

In addition to family law, Lacee protects the rights of clients who have suffered needless injuries and death caused by careless and intentional actions of third parties in personal injury actions. Additionally, Lacee represents and advises clients in all other aspects of litigation, including discovery, trial, settlement negotiations, and appellate matters.
