Ms Kelly Jo

Kelly Jo's practice as an attorney has been varied; her experience includes personal injury/wrongful death, insurance bad faith, construction litigation and construction defect litigation.  She is a Phoenix, Arizona native with a background in design, construction and code enforcement for buildings.  Her pre-lawyer experience includes testifying in scores of bench trials as a housing inspector in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  This experience gives her a unique perspective on the practice of law, including understanding the needs of her clients and the ability to communicate effectively with witnesses and experts, as well as other attorneys and judges. Kelly Jo started her college career at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ("MIT"), providing her with a background in engineering and science that applies in a variety of cases - from the engineering concepts in construction to the physics and chemistry in a fire.  After completing her undergraduate degree in philosophy at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Kelly Jo returned to Arizona to attend law school at the University of Arizona and obtain her JD degree. Kelly Jo is admitted to practice law in Arizona and the US District Court in Arizona.  While a member of the National Association of Women in Construction, Kelly Jo served as secretary and as a member of the board of directors.  She is currently a member of the Arizona Association for Justice. Kelly Jo has also been active in the community.  She coached girls and boys recreational soccer in AYSO, and has refereed soccer in AYSO, AYSA, and various children's and adults' recreational leagues.
