Biography

Kristen is a seasoned litigator who represents individuals, businesses, and corporations in disputes in state and federal courts throughout North Carolina. She advises clients through all phases of litigation, with a focus on protecting her clients’ interests, strategic risk management, and efficient dispute resolution.

She has extensive trial experience, having tried cases to verdict across North Carolina, and secured favorable outcomes for clients through mediation and arbitration. Known for her strategic and pragmatic approach to litigation, Kristen works to resolve disputes efficiently while positioning her clients for success. Her primary areas of practice include business litigation, professional liability, products liability, and premises liability.

Kristen’s approach to litigation is informed by more than a decade of public service at the North Carolina General Assembly, where she served as a nonpartisan staff attorney. In that role, she advised all 170 members of the legislature and staffed numerous Senate and House committees. This experience gives her a strong understanding of how laws and statutes are drafted, interpreted, and applied- insight she brings to her litigation practice.

Kristen earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in English, with a minor in Women’s Studies, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
