Biography

Tia Brown is an associate in our Atlanta office, where she focuses her practice on aging services, medical malpractice, and other health care matters. She represents a range of providers, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, hospices, and personal care homes, in all phases of litigation.

Tia also previously worked as a summer associate with Hall Booth Smith, where she drafted motions and memoranda, prepared deposition summaries, and conducted legal research on appellate and procedural issues. Earlier in her career, she gained additional experience as a summer intern with a Savannah-based law firm and mediation non-profit organization, where she assisted with discovery, attended mediations, and prepared agreements and court filings.

Tia earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was a member of the Georgia Law Review and participated in the Criminal Defense Practicum, representing juvenile clients through public defense. She received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Political Science from Valdosta State University.
