Biography

Whitney L. Smith joined Fleet & Smith, P.A. in 2005 and is currently a shareholder. She received her B.S. degree with honors from the University of West Florida in 2002 and received her law degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2005. Whitney grew up in Destin, Florida, and after graduating law school, decided that there was no better place to start her career and raise a family than the area in which she was raised.

Whitney is a member of the Florida Bar Association, Okaloosa Bar Association, Ft. Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, Mardi Gras Club of Ft. Walton Beach and was previously a member of the Rotary Club of Ft. Walton Beach and American Business Women’s Association of Fort Walton Beach.

Whitney enjoys supporting the local military and has been an Honorary Commander for the 36 EWS, 53 EWG and the 53 Wing at Eglin Air Force Base. She is currently the Honorary Commander for the 4th Battalion at the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and is the Air Combat Command Civic Leader for the 53d Wing at Eglin Air Force Base.

Whitney has two children and her husband is a chiropractor and is in the Army National Guard.

Whitney has a broad-based civil litigation practice that includes fiduciary disputes, will contests, commercial and real property litigation, contract disputes, foreclosure defense, bank foreclosures and judgment collection.
