Peter Gee makes it a goal to give people the clarity and confidence by explaining how their matter may progress and by answering their questions promptly.Peter Byron Gee, Jr. is the Regional Director of Presuit Operations for Morgan & Morgan in Tennessee and Arkansas. In this role, he oversees presuit operations and supports the Firm’s commitment to providing exceptional representation to individuals and families harmed by the negligence of others.
Mr. Gee has spent his legal career at Morgan & Morgan, representing clients in personal injury and medical malpractice matters. His practice has included cases involving automobile collisions, premises liability, nursing-home negligence, and medical malpractice. He is dedicated to advocating for people who have been injured.
Mr. Gee previously served as Managing Partner and President of Morgan & Morgan’s Memphis office, where he led the firm’s Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation practices. In that role, he oversaw office operations, financial performance, budgeting, staffing, and the supervision of attorneys and support personnel. He also served on the firm’s Tennessee and Mississippi Risk Management Committee and advised attorneys on ethics issues.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Gee serves as a Hearing Attorney for matters involving the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility. He is also a former Adjunct Professor at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he taught Medical Malpractice to second- and third-year law students.
Mr. Gee earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2001. He also holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Philosophy/Technical Writing from the University of Tennessee.
A committed leader in the legal community, Mr. Gee served as President of the Memphis Bar Association in 2021, following service as Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer. He has also taught continuing legal education programs through the Tennessee Bar Association and served as a Tennessee Supreme Court Attorney Mentor.
His professional recognition includes selection as a Mid-South Super Lawyer from 2014 through 2026, recognition as a Mid-South Rising Star from 2009 through 2012, and a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating. He is affiliated with the Memphis and Tennessee bar associations, the American Association for Justice, the Tennessee Association for Justice, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
