Biography

Robert T.J. McLaren is an associate in our Tampa office, where he practices in aging services, general liability, health care, insurance coverage, medical malpractice, premises liability, and wills, trusts, and estate planning matters.

Prior to joining HBS, T.J. worked for a national litigation defense firm, where he represented nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health and hospice care providers, nurses and therapists. During law school, he interned in the Elder Abuse Division for the State Attorney Office for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit and with the Elder Justice Initiative for the U.S. Department of Justice.

T.J. earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University, where he had a fellowship at Stetson College of Law’s Influential Center for Elder Justice and was President of the Elder Law Society. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida.
