Biography

Scott Skier didn’t just choose the law, in many ways, he was raised by it. Growing up in West Palm Beach as the son of a longtime Judicial Assistant, he was practically part of the local court culture before he even finished high school. After earning his law degree from the University of Maryland and spending time studying religious studies at UF, Scott came back home to serve as a Public Defender. Those early years were a trial by fire where he handled over 50 jury trials in just three years, building a rock-solid reputation with judges and colleagues alike. Since starting his own firm in 2006, he’s taken that courtroom grit into both state and federal courts. He’s defended everything from complex racketeering and homicide cases to simple misdemeanors. While he’s proud of the big wins, Scott really prides himself on the daily victories he secures for his clients. He’s the kind of lawyer who knows the system from the inside out and uses that expertise to make sure his clients aren't just another case number.
