Tara R. Devine – Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C.

Tara R. Devine is the Managing Partner of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard’s Lake County office and has been with the firm since 2004. A seasoned trial attorney, Tara focuses her practice on personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, wrongful death, and product liability cases. She is licensed in both Illinois and Wisconsin and has secured more than $240 million in verdicts and settlements for her clients.

Tara has played a key role in many high-profile cases, including a record-setting $148 million verdict for a paralyzed dancer— the largest compensatory verdict for a single plaintiff in Illinois history. In 2011, she became the firm’s first female partner, and her leadership has continued to shape the firm’s success ever since.

Beyond the courtroom, Tara is actively involved in the legal community. She served as President of the Lake County Bar Association (2022–2023), sits on the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Board of Managers, and was appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases in 2023. A graduate of the University of Illinois and Marquette University Law School, Tara also stays connected to her alma mater through alumni events and committee service. Outside of work, she enjoys hot yoga, family travel, and exploring new parks with her dog.
