Biography

Thomas L. Gallivan represents individuals and families in matters of nursing home neglect and abuse, medical malpractice and personal injury. Prior to founding the firm, Law Offices of Thomas L. Gallivan, PLLC, Attorneys at Law, Mr. Gallivan defended nursing homes, physicians, and hospitals, as well as their insurers. As a result of this experience, Mr. Gallivan is very familiar with the strategies employed by nursing homes, physicians, hospitals and their insurers. He uses his experience defending these matters to the benefit of his current clients, victims of nursing home neglect/abuse, medical malpractice or personal injury.

Mr. Gallivan also serves as counsel to individuals accused of breaking the law. He represents criminal defendants charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Petit Larceny, Assault, Drug Offenses, and Domestic Violence, as well as all other types of misdemeanors and felonies. While in law school, Mr. Gallivan worked in the United States Attorney’s Office (Criminal Division), as well as the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Gallivan is a member of the Long Term Care Community Coalition (LTCCC). LTCCC is an organization committed to improving care provided to the elderly and disadvantaged. He is also a member of the New York State Trial Academy and the Westchester County Bar Association.
