Biography

What do you need to know about me as a professional? First, I am skilled at resolving disputes – nearly any type of dispute. Whether through litigation, arbitration, mediation or negotiation; in state or federal court --for plaintiffs or defendants. I have tried to conclusion and through appeals a wide variety of business and personal lawsuits. I am a Harvard trained mediator, and I bring this training to the aid of my litigation clients. Second, I treat every case from its inception as though it were headed to trial, preparing from the outset a strategy that adapts to the facts and the developing law, communicates persuasive themes, and which is built on an exhaustive development of the factual record. Whether arguing a motion to dismiss, a motion for summary judgment, or to a jury, my goal is to provide a simple yet persuasive story that compellingly states my client’s position. Third, I am a pragmatist. If a case should settle, then I advise settlement. If a case should go to trial, we will prepare accordingly. Every bit of advice is geared to maximize my client’s position. In my view, the key to ultimate success is starting from the beginning with a plan for trial. That preparation will dictate the outcome. Specialties My practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on business disputes, real estate, construction, and municipal law. I am available to mediate disputes in these areas, as well. I routinely advise business owners and executives on legal issues and help them through the decision making process.THIS IS AN ADVERTISEMENT
