Biography

Tracy Ashmore is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. Her focus is competition law and business trials, with an emphasis on antitrust, commercial, real estate, and insurance coverage disputes. Highly attuned to litigation's cost benefits as she serves HRO clients in the U.S. and abroad, Ms. Ashmore is skilled and experienced at negotiating favorable settlements while also enthusiastically taking cases to trial if necessary to obtain positive results for her clients. As a veteran trial lawyer, she has handled numerous complex cases in both federal and state court as well as in arbitrations. Just after joining HRO, she participated in a six-week jury trial for Sun Microsystems which was resolved after HRO's expert witness offered the jury accessible testimony. Ms. Ashmore is an expert in competition law and is adept at protecting lenders' and developers' rights. Her recent, significant international experience successfully representing Canadian and Spanish companies offers additional value to clients. Serving as HRO's pro bono committee Chair and committed to giving back to the community, Ms. Ashmore settled a pro bono litigation seeking reform of the State of Colorado's Medicaid policies. Her actions led to her award as Individual of Year from the Board of Directors of the Colorado Lawyers Committee.
