Biography

Travis Mydock received his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Florida. As a board certified expert and specialist in criminal trial law, his law practice is limited to criminal defense and related matters.

His experience spans more than a decade on both sides of the courtroom as a prosecutor and defense attorney in northeast Florida. He has handled over 3,500 criminal cases and over 40 criminal jury trials to verdict. He handles all types of criminal cases. A large portion of his practice is devoted to the defense of DUI, domestic violence, gun, and drug cases.

Travis is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. This is the highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills, and ethical standards.

Since 2016, Travis has also maintained a Superb / 10.0 rating by AVVO.

Travis is a past president of the Saint Johns County Bar Association and currently serves as a Commissioner for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, Judicial Nominating Commission. He was nominated for this position by The Florida Bar and appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis for an initial term from 2019 to 2024. As a Commissioner, he is responsible for the vetting, interview, and nomination of applicants for judicial vacancies occurring in Saint Johns, Volusia, Flagler and Putnam Counties.
