Biography

I attended Jesuit schools where principles of service and working toward more just communities were emphasized. Through my work as an attorney and counselor I serve clients that are community anchors. They are committed to equitable health care, improved child and adult care services, educational opportunities and quality affordable housing, as well as other charitable causes. I serve Miner Barnhill & Galland, P.C. as President of the Board of Directors.

I began my legal career in public service, serving as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the City of Chicago Office of Corporation Counsel. As an Assistant Corporation Counsel I handled civil litigation in the federal and state courts and was lead attorney in several bench and jury trials. I later served as liaison with the Office of Legislative Affairs in Mayor Harold Washington’s Administration, going to Springfield, Illinois when the State legislature was in session and spending considerable time in and around the City of Chicago City Council, before finishing my service in the Real Estate and Land Use Division. Presently, I serve the goals and interests of approximately one dozen community institutions
