Conveyancing in Chicago, IL

When buying or selling a piece of real estate, ownership is transferred using a legal document known as the title. The process of transferring the title from seller to buyer is known as conveyancing, and occurs in several stages during the purchase process. The transaction begins when a prospective buyer makes an offer on a piece of property. After that offer has been accepted, then a contract--often containing a number of conditions that must be met--is drawn up with the assistance of the real estate attorneys representing both the buyer and seller. After the conditions in the contract have been met or completed, then the transaction concludes at the real estate closing. A real estate transaction is often one of the biggest purchases you'll make during your lifetime, which is why it's essential to have the advice and guidance of an a lawyer who is knowledgeable about the conveyance process and laws in your state.
