Agricultural Law

The Firm regularly assists growers, pesticide advisers and chemical companies (both manufacturers and sellers) in agricultural litigation and administrative procedures. This representation includes determination of proper herbicide/pesticide application techniques, analysis of the interaction of various chemical agents upon different crops, and evaluation of various crop markets as they relate to damages claimed. We have represented matters dealing with hazardous materials spills, environmental remediations, and litigation caused by contamination from pesticides and hazardous materials. We are experts in the defense of bodily injury claims from pesticide drift and environmental contamination caused by pesticides and hazardous materials. Our in-house professionals have worked with outside consultants including agronomists, plant nutritionists, soil scientists and chemists in the handling of agricultural matters. We also assist in developing environmental defenses in alleged Endangered Species Act violations and zoning issues relating to agricultural land use, boundary disputes and all other agriculture related litigation matters.
