With ten offices throughought California and with a practice group focused specifically on intellectual property, Borton Petrini is able to handle virtually any intellectual property-related issue. Our attorneys are experts at working together in identifying and meeting specific client needs.

Our Intellectual Property group handles all aspects of intellectual property law, including, patent, trademark, and copyright protection. Our years of experience in intellectual property matters have prepared us for representing our clients effectively and efficiently. Our team of professionals prepares and prosecutes patent applications in the areas of biological sciences, medical devices, software, physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and materials science.

Our group counsels clients on the availability of patent and trademark protection, and handles patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation. All of our IP attorneys are also trial lawyers, and are therefore able to prepare and prosecute patent and trademark applications with an eye for potential issues should the patents and/or trademarks be litigated. Additionally, our IP group handles domain name disputes, website protection, online privacy, online advertising, licensing, and e-commerce disputes. Since many of our attorneys have business transactional experience, we can assist companies such as start-ups with many of their legal matters, including IP, corporate or other business entity formation and employment law concerns.
