Jones Walker represents a wide range of project developers; lenders, both governmental and private; governments; advisers; and underwriters in all phases of the development process. We guide clients from the initial phases of project contract preparation and negotiation through siting, planning, permitting, financing, construction, operation, and management.

Our work on project financing involves all types of conventional financing as well as a variety of equity investments and syndications, joint ventures and partnerships, public and private securities issuances, various forms of construction and long-term loans, subordinated debt, sale/leaseback transactions, taxable and tax-free bond financings, as well as the purchase and sale of facilities and interests in facilities.

We frequently develop novel financing instruments and advise clients on political risk issues in which lenders, borrowers, and sponsors join in complex risk-sharing arrangements tailored to meet the requirements of the particular project. Jones Walker's Project Development & Finance team handles projects throughout Louisiana, the southeastern United States, and on an international basis.

In 2009, Jones Walker was named to MultiCultural Law Magazine’s list of "Top 100 Law Firms for Women," part of a series of listings of the top 100 law firms for diversity.
