Kleinberg Lange Cuddy & Carlo LLP represents leading actors; authors; writers; directors; producers; motion picture, scripted and reality television production companies; international and domestic film, television, video and interactive broadcasters and distributors; animators; publishers; corporate executives; and literary and talent agents and managers. We always keep a keen eye on a client’s overarching brand and business strategies to effectively assist in long-term growth.
Our clients regularly engage in large format and online film exhibition and distribution; the production of scripted and unscripted (“reality”) television shows; hospitality pay-per-view and video-on-demand distribution; the writing and sale of screenplays; the production of mechanical and visual effects; and the design and creation of theme park attractions and urban and location-based entertainment centers. In addition, the Firm readily adapts to an ever-changing entertainment industry, and represents leading companies and talent applying high technology, such as computer-generated imagery (CGI) and digital imaging.
We are familiar with all aspects of motion picture production, distribution and finance. Our work in this field often requires interacting with professionals assisting in the proper execution of license agreements; bank transactions; security agreements; completion bonds and other insurance packages; inter-party agreements and co-production agreements; and foreign sales representation agreements, foreign subsidies and incentives.
In addition, our clients call upon us to assist in the exploitation of unique intellectual property in film, television, online medium, video games, DVDs, and other new digital formats. As a result, our attorneys have amassed unparalleled knowledge in niche areas of entertainment law such as chain-of-title, foreign acquisition licensing, and publishing rights agreements.
Over the past decade, we have established a stronghold in the reality television business. Just recently, we assisted in the sale of a 65% stake in a major reality television company to a British media company for $30 million. Over the past two years, the Firm has completed $250,000,000.00 in reality TV deals.
From time to time, our clients find themselves facing litigation. We work closely with outside litigation counsel to ensure quick and effective resolution to these matters.
Our attorneys regularly participate in teaching and continuing education programs at UCLA, USC, local bar and professional organizations; and we are active in major charities and philanthropic organizations throughout Southern California and the entire United States.5.0/5.0 Review for Jill L.
