Securitizations

Pryor Cashman’s Banking and Finance Group represents a number of entities involved in the securitization of various types of assets, including commercial banks, liquidity providers, credit enhancers, issuers and trustees. Because of our firm’s expertise, we have been involved in many industry milestones, including the first asset securitization of a pharmaceutical royalty right and the first securitization of a pool of foreign receivables.

Our recent work in the area of securitizations includes representation of an investor group in a tender offer to acquire unregistered fractional interests of publicly traded contingent payment rights of the biotechnology firm Amgen Inc. related to sales of the drug Neupogen. We have also represented various parties in a wide variety of transactions involving the securitization of real estate-related assets. In addition, we have represented the issuer of asset-backed securities involving music copyrights.
