Toxic Tort Section

                              Toxic Tort Litigation

Sanchez Daniels & Hoffman LLP litigates toxic tort matters involving asbestos, diacetyl, benzene and other chemicals on behalf of manufacturers, premises owners and contractors.

We represent several Fortune 500 companies as well as equipment manufacturers and construction companies in the defense of hundreds of pending asbestos claims in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin and MDL-875 (USDC EDPA).  Injury claims include mesothelioma, lung cancer, other cancers and asbestosis.  The firm successfully tried Williams v. Ford Motor Company in Madison County, Illinois, and DeJohn v. Commonwealth Edison, in Cook County, Illinois; both resulting in not guilty verdicts. Over the past 25 years, our attorneys, in their role as National Trial Counsel, have tried numerous asbestos cases in several states taking many of those cases to verdict.

The firm also acts as National Coordinating Counsel for an international distributor of food flavors, such as diacetyl, acetoin, and benzaldehyde. In this position, the firm is responsible for coordinating the defense of the client throughout the country in lawsuits which allege that consumers and food processors have contracted lung disease, including bronchiolitis obliterans (popcorn lung), due to exposure to food flavorings.
