About this firm

Ferguson Law has roots back to 1956, when Jim Ferguson (1928 - 2001) returned to Bloomington from his service in the Air Force as a Judge Advocate General and shared an office with (soon-to-be Judge) Nat U. Hill. Later he was joined by his brother, Steve Ferguson, who practiced with the firm for many years until leaving to work for Cook Group full-time, where he is currently Chairman of the Board. Ted and David Ferguson are Jim's sons who have been with the firm since 1980 and 1981, respectively. Over the years many good lawyers have practiced with the firm through a variety of partnerships that have led to its current form.

We work hard to establish long-term relationships with our clients by providing sound counsel for individual and business needs. The Ferguson family of lawyers has served the legal needs of its clients throughout Indiana for over 60 years. Our practice areas include Business Organizations, Civil Litigation, Estate Planning, Landlord/Tenant issues, Probate, Real Estate, School Law, Insurance Law, and Utilities Law.
