About this firm

Formed in 1988 by 16 attorneys, Goodell DeVries has grown into two offices with more than 60 attorneys. Our growth has been fueled by clients satisfied with the expertise of our attorneys, and our ability to obtain the results desired by our clients in an effective and cost-efficient manner.

Our firm's offices are located in Baltimore and Philadelphia, but our firm is also active regionally, nationally, and internationally. Our offices are easily accessible from the Baltimore and Philadelphia airports, and by Amtrak.

Our attorneys handle a wide variety of complex and challenging matters. Goodell DeVries' litigation resources are comparable to those in the litigation departments of the country's largest law firms.

Goodell DeVries employs technology to streamline the practice of law, and to enhance communication between client and counsel. The firm's technical resources allow our attorneys to serve our clients regardless of their physical location.

To that end, the firm’s Recruiting Committee and Diversity Committee work together to attract a diverse group of qualified attorneys and other legal professionals. Goodell DeVries was a proud underwriter of the Maryland Defense Counsel, Inc.'s "Great Strides, Great Struggles: The Continuing Case for Diversity 70 Years after Murray" program, for which the organization won the Defense Research Institute's Diversity Award. One of our partners, a member of the Maryland Defense Counsel's Board of Directors, was instrumental in presenting the program.
