The firm of Jones, Snead, Wertheim & Clifford, P.A. (The Jones Firm) was founded by O. Russell Jones in 1948. It has maintained a general practice handling a wide variety of legal matters ranging from legal problems of individuals to major companies. It has handled one of the largest antitrust class actions in the history of the State of New Mexico, while also handling one of the largest single plaintiff's commercial cases in the history of New Mexico. It has represented an heir of an internationally renowned artist in a will contest, successfully settling the contest by requiring the transfer of the bulk of that artist's art to museums and other charitable institutions. In more recent years the firm has handled a number of significant personal injury, wrongful death and product liability suits, as well as complex contract, will and trust contests and commercial litigation cases. The scope of its practice includes corporate, business, estate, administrative, real estate law, labor, employment, criminal defense and civil litigation.
