For more than a quarter of a century, MacCloskey Kesler & Associates has proudly served the Rockford community, but our story is about much more than legal expertise and courtroom successes—it’s about the deep-rooted relationships we’ve built along the way. At the heart of our firm is a genuine passion for helping our neighbors through some of life’s toughest challenges, because Rockford isn’t just where we practice law; it’s our home.

Kim MacCloskey wanted to handle cases like they were his own. Kim was severely injured as a child and received poor legal representation that resulted in a small settlement. Kim began to advertise that “We Know What It Is Like and We Know What to Do About It.”

In 2004, Phil Kesler joined the firm right out of law school. He shared Kim’s vision to help those who most needed our legal services. Kim and Phil found success by getting fair awards for injury victims.

Over the past 25 years the firm has grown in terms of both size and results. We have recovered 100s of millions of dollars for injury victims right here in Northern Illinois and Rockford. The one thing that remains is that we continue to Know What It Is Like and continue handle cases as our own.
