The firm was formed when Gainesville & Ocala Attorney Robert G. Whittel and Spring Hill & New Port Richey Lawyer Jason M. Melton joined their respective practices to better accommodate their clients. Recently, the firm has quickly become a leader in the Labor & Employment sector behind the leadership of recently acquired Tampa and St. petersburg partner and Board Certified expert attorney Jay Lechner.

Primarily working from the Hernando, Pinellas and Palm Beach County offices, full time injury law, criminal defense and employment law paralegals, legal assistants and administrative staff, as well as private investigators and experts who work on a case-by-case basis, assist the ten total Florida lawyers at Whittel & Melton.

Our lawyers include former State of Florida Prosecutors, retired Assistant Attorney General, retired military, former State Defenders, former law enforcement and experience in two of the largest white shoe law firms in the country.
