| Biography | Basil Cheeseman serves as a retired partner in our Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions Group in Toronto. His practice covers a broad range of corporate and commercial activities, including corporate mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations with an emphasis on banking, natural resources and international transactions. Mr. Cheeseman received his BA from the University of Toronto in 1949 and his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1950. He was called to the Alberta bar in 1951 and the Ontario bar in 1966. Mr. Cheeseman is a director of a number of Canadian corporations. (Retired)
