Daniel W. Munley is a personal injury attorney with decades of experience representing victims of serious motor vehicle accidents and their families. Recognized nationally as a leader in truck accident and rideshare accident litigation, Dan has obtained numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements throughout his career. Notable results include a record-breaking $26 million truck accident settlement in Northeastern Pennsylvania — the largest on record in the region for an individual plaintiff — and a $20 million recovery in 2024 for a client who suffered life-altering injuries in a commercial vehicle accident.
Dan is one of a small number of attorneys in the United States to hold triple board certification from the National Board of Trial Advocacy, covering Civil Trial Law, Civil Practice Advocacy, and Truck Accident Law. He is also certified by the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America and is a charter member and Executive Board member of the American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group, where he served as Chair from 2011 to 2012. Dan is also active in the Scranton community, having served as a board member for the Everhart Museum and coaching youth baseball, basketball, and softball. He and his wife, Valerie Munley, have three children. Dan earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton.
