Product Liability

Every year, unsafe products cost lives. At the Law Offices of Peter G. Angelos, our Maryland product liability attorneys are dedicated to helping people who have been affected by faulty or defective products find the resources and compensation they need.

Defective design or faulty manufacturing

In general, product liability comes from two sources: defective designs or faulty manufacturing. Design or engineering defects can result in the manufacturing of a product that is inherently unsafe. In other cases, the product is designed and engineered correctly but, because of faulty materials or incorrect assembly, the product does not perform as designed.

With a defective product case, liability can lie with the supplier, manufacturer, retailer, and/or other provider of the product. If you suspect that you or a loved one has been affected by a faulty or defective product, contact us to learn about your legal rights.

Failure to warn

In addition to a defective design or a defect in manufacture or packaging, a product may also cause injury and result in liability if the manufacturer fails to warn of dangerous propensities of the product. If the failure to warn of the dangerous propensity results in an injury, the victim, may have a product liability claim. In some situations manufacturers may even be liable for punitive damages.
