Welcome to Cook, Netter, Cloonan, Kurtz & Murphy, P.C. providing legal services throughout New York State for over 100 years.

Our firm was established by Andrew J. Cook, Sr. in 1905 at Kingston, New York. Mr. Cook later served as Assemblyman in the New York State Legislature and as County Judge. Though the firm has always been a general practice law firm, it has expanded over the years concentrating in insurance defense litigation, commercial and municipal litigation, trusts and estates, residential and commercial real estate, and personal injury litigation. Robert Netter, William Cloonan, and Robert Cook joined the firm in the 1970's and with the subsequent addition of Eric Kurtz, Thomas Murphy and Michael Cook, the firm became Cook, Netter, Cloonan, Kurtz & Murphy, P.C. Cook, Netter, Cloonan, Kurtz & Murphy, P.C. is comprised of highly experienced trial attorneys and is proud of its tradition of providing legal services to the Hudson Valley and throughout New York State.

Our Firm has received the highest rating permitted by the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory peer review of "A+". We have been selected for listing in Best's Directory and the Bar List of Preeminent Lawyers. Members of our firm are admitted to practice in all New York State and Federal Courts including the US Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
